The American Legal System Must be Brought
In Line With The Rights of Humans for Decency
Our efforts have one goal - comprehensive legal reform.
To that end we:
-
Seek to educate the public as to the contrast between the realities of the American
justice system and the demands of the US Constitution.
-
We pursue elimination of all roadblocks to judicial accountability; Absolute
judicial immunity from suits for monetary damages must go.
-
We demand legislation providing citizens with a right to have independent observers
at trials without jury, empowered to refer judges to disciplinary boards
for violations of the litigants' due process rights.
-
We call for elimination of any rules and regulations that unjustifiably diminish
citizens' incentives to pursue justice through the legal system. The expression
"Justice delayed is justice denied" must be a guiding principle in this
regard.
-
We demand that the general standards of malpractice liability apply to lawyers no
less than to other professionals.
-
We call for such simplifications in the body of law and legal procedure that will
enable the average citizen to represent himself/herself in court on the majority of non-criminal legal issues without a counsel.
-
We demand that the courts be respectful of the citizens' right to self-representation
and treat pro se litigants with respect accorded to them by law.
-
We call for mandatory penalties of citizens assaulting others with fraudulent suits
and perjury.
-
We call for a provision that will enable review of past cases of judicial and attorney
abuse and compensation of its victims.
